Can We Fkn Talk?
Have you ever had that moment in Motherhood where you’ve wondered, “Why did no one tell me this BEFORE I had a baby?” Well I’m here to change all that by having the conversations you wish you had before becoming a parent.
I’m Ashleigh Scrivener, a Connective Parenting and Mindset Coach passionate about supporting Mums to put themselves first so that you have the capacity to respond to your child’s needs and connect not only to yourself but your kids as well. With over 10 years in the early childhood education and care industry, I know a thing or two about early childhood development, children’s behaviour and supporting families through the early years, but when I became a parent myself, I felt like a fish out of water. I love supporting Mums find more ease in their parenting, personal and professional lives while saying goodbye to Mum guilt for good.
This show will feature conversations, stories, helpful tips and parenting support from guest experts and parents with the goal of sharing publicly the conversations every Mum needs to hear.

011 | Emma H - Finding joy, managing emotions & healing (Part 2)
⚠️ This episode touches on sensitive topics like depression, rage, and childhood trauma. Listener discretion is advised.
In this raw and inspiring chat, I’m continuing my conversation with Emma Hopper. Together, we explore the powerful transformation she’s experienced as a Mum - going from the depths of depression, rage, and hopelessness to a place of joy, connection, and laughter with her kids.
Emma opens up about the tools, mindset shifts, and hard work it took to get there. We’re talking about challenging the “good Mum” myth, navigating big emotions, and teaching our kids (and ourselves) how to regulate and reconnect. She shares so many relatable stories and practical tips, all with a beautiful message: healing is possible, and joy can exist even after the hardest of times.
This episode is for you if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like the joy in parenting is just out of reach. It’s a reminder that you’re not alone - and that small, intentional steps can make a big difference.
