Can We Fkn Talk?
Have you ever had that moment in Motherhood where you’ve wondered, “Why did no one tell me this BEFORE I had a baby?” Well I’m here to change all that by having the conversations you wish you had before becoming a parent.
I’m Ashleigh Scrivener, a Connective Parenting and Mindset Coach passionate about supporting Mums to put themselves first so that you have the capacity to respond to your child’s needs and connect not only to yourself but your kids as well. With over 10 years in the early childhood education and care industry, I know a thing or two about early childhood development, children’s behaviour and supporting families through the early years, but when I became a parent myself, I felt like a fish out of water. I love supporting Mums find more ease in their parenting, personal and professional lives while saying goodbye to Mum guilt for good.
This show will feature conversations, stories, helpful tips and parenting support from guest experts and parents with the goal of sharing publicly the conversations every Mum needs to hear.

Can We Fkn Talk?
019 | Ashy Anne - Respectful parenting, activism & cycle breaking
In this episode of Can We Fkn Talk?, I sit down with Ashlee Griffiths, (aka TikTok superstar - Ashy Anne) a passionate advocate for cycle-breaking, respectful parenting, and generational healing. Ashy shares her deeply personal journey of unlearning toxic family patterns, setting firm boundaries, and raising her children with intention, kindness, and respect.
We explore the confronting reality of breaking generational cycles and how childhood experiences shape the way we parent. Ashy opens up about navigating parenthood without traditional family support and redefining what community looks like when biological family isn’t a safe or reliable option. She speaks candidly about the emotional weight of healing from past wounds, the power of allowing children to express emotions freely, and the importance of regulating our own reactions as parents.
This conversation also dives into why being a respectful parent is a political act and how the choices we make in our homes have a ripple effect on the world around us. Ashy's honesty and insight make this a raw and powerful discussion about accountability, emotional resilience, and raising children in a way that fosters genuine connection, safety, and trust.
This is a must-listen for parents who are committed to breaking cycles, fostering emotional intelligence, and creating a different future for the next generation.
